Announcement: new Technical Director and Head Coach
The Pinnacles FC is very excited to announce new leadership for the technical director and head coach roles at the club.
Andrew Stevenson: Technical Director
Andrew began his soccer journey on our own home turf with the Pinnacles. He made a lasting impact on soccer development in the Okanagan through his coaching, leadership, and playing career. During his playing years, Andrew earned national recognition, captaining the Olympic Development Program’s U16 all-star team and having trial stints with Scunthorpe United and Vancouver Whitecaps before pursuing soccer on scholarships at UofC and UBCO.
As a coach with TOFC in the BCSPL, he developed players who advanced to the Vancouver Whitecaps Residency program. In 2018, Andrew co-founded Okanagan Football Club (OFC), leading the premier men’s team to playoffs in their first season. He comes to Pinnacles FC after a stellar year with Calgary’s Foothills FC as Director of Grassroots Soccer where he coached two Tier 1 youth teams to provincial champions. Andrew holds a CSA National A License and the Technical Director’s certification from BC Soccer. “The Pinnacles has always been close to my heart,” says Stevenson. “I’m very proud to be a part of this amazing community and soccer club. I can’t wait to get started as the new TD.”
We are excited to bring Andrew’s extensive experience and passion for soccer back to the Okanagan. His dedication to developing players, from Grassroots up through the top levels of Canadian football, is at the heart of the Pinnacles FC philosophy.
Tommy McGill: Head Coach
Many of you already know Tommy as our Keeper Head Coach. Tommy is dedicated to growing the level of soccer in the community. His huge personality, experience and passion make Tommy one of the best coaches in the Okanagan.
Tommy spent his youth in the pro-youth Rangers FC and played for Ayr United, after which he coached the pro-youth keepers at Ayr United. Since immigrating to Canada, Tommy has had huge success with his Goalkeeper program throughout the Okanagan. Many of his students have moved on to play for different colleges and universities, including Whitecaps goalie Issac Boehmer, whom Tommy worked with from when Issac was a young Pinnacles player to the pro level.
Please join us in congratulating Andrew and Tommy on their new roles.
